Remembering Home Away from Home

For generations of Soldiers and Army families, Skyline Housing Area was more than military housing—it was home. Built in the early 1950s on the former airfield above Leighton Barracks, it became a close-knit American community with schools, playgrounds, and family neighborhoods. Although the Army left Würzburg in 2008, the memories made here continue to live on for everyone who once called Skyline home.
