Hauptfriedhof


Der Hauptfriedhof Würzburg ist mit einer Fläche von 112.727 m² und insgesamt 20.000 Grabstätten der größte Friedhof Würzburgs.


Der Friedhof ist in jedem besseren Sinne interessant und das will ich ohne Wertung zeigen. Friedhof-Ansichten spiegelt die Traditionen verschiedener Zeiten und verschiedener Religionen, von Stadt und Land, Auffassungen und Sichtweisen vom Tod, vom Jenseits und von der Bedeutung des „letzten Gartens” für die Hinterbliebenen.


(Es wurde versucht, keine Namen auf privaten Grabsteine zu fotografieren, aber leider hat sich dies nicht immer vermeiden lassen)
