The Class III Supply Point at Wuerzburg's New Harbor was a small but important part of the logistical network supporting the Wuerzburg Military Community during the Cold War. Class III supplies included fuel, oils and lubricants needed to keep vehicles, equipment and military operations running.
Unlike the well-known Army posts, this facility worked quietly in the background. After the U.S. Army left Wuerzburg, the site was quickly cleared and transformed for civilian use. Only a short time later, much of the former supply area had already disappeared.
These photographs capture the final remains of the installation during this transition period and preserve a rarely seen part of Wuerzburg's former U.S. Army infrastructure.
